Rick Nelson has been involved in special situations equity research coverage (primarily Business Services and Industrial Technology) and convertible securities research for over 20 years. His background includes 10 years at Kidder, Peabody & Co. where he was voted #1 by Greenwich Survey for convertible securities research. From 1991 to 1994 Rick served as a Senior Vice President of Convertible Securities Research where he was voted #2 by for convertible research by Institutional Investor two years running. After Lehman, Rick spent seven years at Furman Selz (subsequently acquired by ING, then ABN Amro) where he provided convertible research, equity research and served as liaison for convertible capital markets. From 2002 to 2005 Rick worked at Morgan Joseph & Co., where he generated equity and convertible securities research.  From 2006 to 2008 Rick held the position of Director of Equity, Convertible and High Yield Research with J Giordano Securities Group.

Rick holds a BA Degree from Valparaiso University (Indiana) and an MBA degree (Finance) from the Frank Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University (Long Island, New York).
