Ed CabreraExecutive Managing Director Ed Cabrera has worked on Wall Street for over 20 years with investment banks such as Merrill Lynch, PaineWebber and Raymond James & Associates. He has held many positions including investment banker, equity analyst, market strategist and portfolio manager. Since 2003, Ed has been focused on providing advisory services and capital market access for emerging companies. Currently, Ed is Head of Investment Banking and Co-Head of Capital Markets at Jesup & Lamont, one of the largest broker-dealers in the rapidly-growing South of the United States. Jesup has over 340 financial consultants in 48 retail offices and 6 institutional desks that trade for over 800 institutional clients throughout the world. Ed worked at Merrill Lynch for 11 years as Managing Director and Head of Latin America where he built the top ranked team for the region, according to Greenwich Associate surveys and Latin Finance magazine polls. He was selected for the 2000 Millennium edition of Who's Who in Finance and has been named to the All-America team by Institutional Investor for the quality of his work. Ed has an extensive technical and educational background. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in Engineering and Material Services where he graduated with Honors. After undergraduate, General Electric hired Ed where he worked in the materials laboratory and in the manufacturing operation. Ed left General Electric in 1985 and graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Business with an MBA in 1987. Ed has been often quoted in the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and New York Times for his views.
David BocchiAssociate David Bocchi joined Jesup in 2009 as an Associate in our Investment Banking Department. He has multiple years experience in commercial Real Estate transactions, and is a member of our Health Care Banking Team. David graduated magna cum laude with a BBA from Boston University School of Management. He had a dual concentration in Finance and Accounting, and a minor in Political Science. He holds a Series 7 and Series 63 license.
Bill CorbettSenior Managing Director Bill Corbett has spent the last 22 years on Wall Street, starting his career at Bear Stearns in 1985. He soon became Associate Director and Manager for the Retail Sales force in San Francisco. Bill has held Managing Director positions at Paine Webber and Lehman Brothers as well. As the Founder and CEO of a boutique Investment Banking firm in San Francisco for over ten years, Mr. Corbett successfully built it into one of the leading private placement firms in the country. He has completed over two billion in banking transactions in Private Placements; PIPES and Reverse Mergers. He holds a BS in Business from the University of the Pacific. In 2005, he was inducted into the University of the Pacific Hall of Fame for collegiate golf. Bill is active in numerous charities and community boards. Bill is responsible for Private Placements and Reverse Mergers at Jesup & Lamont.
Mark DiamondManaging Director Mark Diamond’s investment banking focus at Jesup & Lamont is healthcare and consumer products.Prior to joining J&L, Mark worked on Long Island with Cresta Capital Strategies, LLC as an investment banker. Prior to Cresta Capital, Mark spent 15 successful years in the pharmaceutical and bio-tech industry in various sales and marketing leadership positions. He worked for Aventis, AstraZeneca & CV Therapeutics. Early in his career, Mark worked as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand in New York City. Later he transitioned to the corporate finance department of a large international diversified conglomerate working on M&A transactions and corporate consolidations. His experience is broad and deep in the areas of accounting, finance, sales & marketing.
Tsvetana GoykhmanAssistant Vice President Tsvetana has been working with Ed Cabrera for 4 years in all aspects of the investment banking business. Ms. Goykhman graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey. She is based in New York City and holds the Series 7, 63, 86, 87 and 24 licenses.
Michael IantoscaAssociate Michael has a B.A. in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. He is based in New York City and has worked in graphic design and corporate communications for three years.
Daniel KordashAssociate Daniel Kordash joined Jesup in 2009 as an Associate in our Investment Banking Department. He is a member of our Healthcare Banking Team. Prior to Jesup, Daniel worked at Greylock Capital Management as an analyst in the Operations Management department. He also spent several years as a managing partner of Shoplift.com and E-Tail Markets, LLC. Daniel received his BBA from Boston University School of Management with a dual concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He holds a Series 7 and Series 63 license.
Gordon LewisVice President Gordon started his career as an Internet Industry analyst in Silicon Valley at Zona Research, a subsidiary of Millward Brown. He moved on to work in the investment operations department of the Oppenheimer Asset Management division of CIBC World Markets followed by moving on to work in 10b5-1 securities services at RBC Capital Markets. Gordon worked at Banc of America Securities as a pension manager for their Commercial and Business Banking Group. While at Bank of America he created the “Infinity Services Initiative” for BoA financing, a national program rolled out for providing platform services for clients in individual niche industries. Most recently Gordon worked as a compliance consultant on the Wells Fargo-Wachovia merger, providing BSA/AML-Correspondent Banking analysis for the Global Financial Institutions & Trade Group for all banks in Asia. Gordon studied History at UC Berkeley and attended business school at the University of Manchester in the U.K. He is a registered representative possessing series 7 & 66 licenses. Gordon is a member of the Association of Anti-Money Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
Alan Loewenstein, CFASenior Vice President Alan Loewenstein has worked in the investment industry for over 30 years being associated with American Fund Advisors, a private investment firm, for the past 26 years. He has held many positions including Portfolio Manager, Research Analyst, Trader, and Compliance Officer and was a co-founder of two SPACs. Alan has been quoted many times in the New York Times, Wall Street journal and has appeared on numerous radio programs. Alan received a B.A. in mathematics and an MBA in finance from Rutgers University in New Jersey. In 1984 he received his CFA certification.
Alejandro OchoaVice President Alejandro Ochoa has over 10 years of experience within the financial services arena, having worked at firms such as Morgan Stanley, Prudential Securities, and Raymond James. Dedicated to Latin America, Alex has facilitated Correspondent Agreements with financial institutions throughout Latin America which have facilitated cross-border investments and market penetration to his firms. His areas of expertise include mining and real estate. His educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Finance & International Business from Florida International University.
Jonathan PerlVice President Jonathan Perl brings a breath of experience in the field of asset-based lending and trade finance to the Jesup & Lamont investment banking team. He has worked for several prominent asset-based lending firms including Northern Healthcare Capital, where he served as Director of Closing, and CardinalPointe Capital Group, where as Vice President, managed the motion picture asset-based lending business. In an entrepreneurial capacity, he founded Endeavor Business Credit, a boutique debt placement and advisory firm. Jonathan holds a BS in finance (cum laude) from Yeshiva University.
Frederic SibouletSenior Vice President Frederic Siboulet has over twenty years of financial and corporate industry experience in the United States and in Europe. His background includes global trading and processing for cash and derivatives markets, market and credit risk management, corporate governance, strategy, operations, quantitative modeling and business development. In addition, he has extensive experience in cross-industry project financing within the internet, technology, mining and infrastructure industries, funding and insuring projects with private investors to supranational financial institutions. He held management positions in major corporations such as IBM, Tata, Reuters, Murex and Algorithmics. A graduate of Ecole National Superieure des Mines in France, Frederic is a member of the French American Chamber of Commerce and President of InterMines (the 226 year old French mining school’s alumni association) for USA and Canada. |
